  • Teaching Style

Amanda enjoys learning about her students and their other interests and strives to create a relaxed, but productive environment.

Lessons consist of tone development, technique, etudes (or short studies), solo flute music, and (everybody’s favorite!) sight-reading duets together.

Amanda meets students where they are and tailors specific exercises and assignments to meet artistic goals set in lessons. She believes every student is unique and therefore creates personalized lesson plans for their individual learning style and needs.

  • Curriculum

Amanda has curated a list of exercises, scales, etudes and pieces from years of experience that correspond to student skill level. Expect to be assigned a warm-up focusing on a designated area for improvement, scales, an etude, and a piece of solo music.
